Situated under ancient oaks, flanked by vineyards and Simonsberg mountain, the guest house offers the unique combination of modern comfort and old-world charm. 8 tastefully decorated en suite bedrooms with crisp white linen and all the required amenities. Patio rooms have a private stoep facing the lawn and garden, and Attic rooms a balcony with a superb mountain view. Two luxury cottages for those who wish to stay for longer periods.
The Van Niekerk family, fourth generation owners, invites you to enjoy breakfasts al fresco, vineyard walks, tennis, summer pool lunches(Wed – Sun) winter log fires and have owls lull you to sleep after exploring the Winelands and Cape Peninsula. Also, during the harvest, you are welcome to visit the wine cellar at the end of the garden and experience the sounds, tastes and aromas of award-winning wines in the making.
Knorhoek is ideally situated: historic Stellenbosch (10 minutes), Airport (40 min) beaches (30 min), Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain and Waterfront (50 min), Hermanus whale watching (80 min).
GOLF: 10 top courses within 30 minutes. We are all golfers and have played most of the courses in the Western Cape. We shall advise you and book tee-times with pleasure.
WEDDINGS/FUNCTIONS: Towerbosch is the enchanting, magical venue with eclectic fairytale décor and sumptuous meals, idaeal for a dream wedding or memorable function. On Saturdays (if no function) and Sundays a traditional South African ASADO style braai is served, ideal for the carnivores and families with children.
WINE: KNORHOEK WINES and the newer easy-drinking, high quality TWO CUBS range, boast several local and international awards. Wine tasting is enjoyed at leisure and private cellar tours with the wine maker by appointment

|DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT: Leave Airport direction Cape Town; take exit N2 direction Somerset West; stay on N2, take exit 33 Baden Powell/R310/Stellenbosch. At a T-junction with large set of overhead traffic lights, turn RIGHT. You will enter Stellenbosch, pass the train station on your left and get to a large set of traffic lights where the R44 joins the R310. Go left and stay on the R44 direction Paarl/N1. Keep going straight on the R44, you will start leaving Stellenbosch, pass a housing development (Welgevonden) on your left; Morgenhof wine estate on your right; about 3km further going down the hill, KNORHOEK ROAD turns to the RIGHT. Go straight up Knorhoek Road (about 3km) follow signs to the Guest House |
DIRECTIONS FROM NI: Take Klapmuts/R44 exit off the N1 and proceed towards Stellenbosch. Cross a 4-way stop (beware of the speed camera!!) and it is about 10km to the KNORHOEK ROAD exit to your left. Follw signs to Guest House (about 3km up Knorhoek road)
